Great League is one of the most popular Pokémon GO PvP formats because the 1500 CP limit creates many viable Pokémon and IV spreads.
What makes a good Great League Pokémon?
A strong Great League Pokémon usually has a useful typing, good bulk, efficient moves, and an IV spread that gives strong stat product under 1500 CP.
Why IV rank matters
Two Pokémon of the same species can perform differently in Great League depending on their IVs. Lower Attack IVs often allow the Pokémon to reach a higher level, increasing Defense and HP.
Rank is not everything
A high stat product is useful, but matchups, breakpoints, bulkpoints, and CMP ties can also matter. A Rank #1 Pokémon is a great starting point, but it is not always the only good choice.
